Budapest-Nyugati? No way!
Due to urgent repair and maintenance works, Budapest-Nyugati railway terminal was closed and completely excluded from traffic between 22 June and 5 July 2015. During the closure of the station a traffic order containing new links was introduced.
The S50 (Budapest - Monor) and S70 (Budapest-Vác) and the Z50 (Budapest - Cegléd) and Z70 (Budapest - Szob) services were linked via Rákosrendező station, hence the S57 (Monor - Vác) and Z57 (Szob - Cegléd) continuous services emerged. In order to assure that departure times did not differ much from the usual, the S57 trains had to wait 20 minutes at Rákosrendező station.
The terminus of the InterCity trains on the line 100 (Budapest - Nyíregyháza/Záhony/Miskolc) was Budapest-Zugló during this period. These trains had to turn in Rákosrendező station - but without passengers.
Terminus of the Budapest - Szeged ICs was Kelenföld station, several suburban trains were conducted on shorter routes - with Kelenföld, Kőbánya-Kispest or Rákospalota-Újpest station terminals.
Meanwhile, 150-200 people were working simultaneously in Nyugati Railway Station: tracks and switches were repaired or replaced, the catenary network was examined and repaired, the train control system was overhauled, several maintenance works were carried out on the platforms and the hall.
Rákosrendező
IC 582 "Délibáb" coming from Miskolc enters the spur track empty after Zugló station, the provisional terminus.
As the IC stops (right), the 470 007 rolls out of her spur.
The Taurus loco 007 arrived previously with the IC 580 "Takta" from Miskolc.
Now she takes over the three cars of the IC 582 in order to depart at 12:28 as IC 1656 "Kócsag" to Nyíregyháza.
S57 arrived on Track 2. On Track 3 the S57 to Vác is waiting.
The FLIRT trainset No. 91 shines beautifully.
Via Ferihegy(?) - No doubt! The question mark substitutes the aircraft symbol due to a character coding problem.

S57 (Vác - Monor) push-pull train is coming from Rákosrendező.
The train is pushed by the electric loco 432 248.
The train continues under the overpass at Kacsóh Pongrác út toward Budapest-Zugló.
Nohab diesel locomotive 459 022 of Kárpát Vasút is coming from the direction of Zugló.
She wears her original DSB-number MY 1156 proudly, together with the colours of Danish State Railways.
The locomotive arrived on 21 April 2015 to Hungary, she has been in service at Kárpát Vasút since June.
Kárpát Vasút's 2nd NOHAB locomotive earned her track number 022 in honor of MÁV's former 20-piece series.
The 459 022 continues to Rákosrendező (and from there to Budapest-Nyugati).
IC 612 "Szabolcs" (to Nyíregyháza) will be transferred to Budapest-Zugló terminus - hauled by electric loco 431 249.
S57 (Vác - Monor) mis moving at walking speed towards Zugló, pushed by the 432 255.
431 295 is hauling the already empty IC 629 "Bereg" from Budapest-Zugló, when she meets the S57 at the overpass
Z57 (Szob - Cegléd) train approaches from the direction of Rákosrendező.
The S57 to Monor is pushed by the electric locomotive 432 254.
The S57 to Vác is waiting for the entry to Rákosrendező station, when the IC 614 "Nyírség" rolls out.

From the color of the ballast you can see where exactly the tracks and switches were repaired/changed. In the foreground, the catenary is being installed.
Beyond the Ferdinand bridge, the NOHAB locomotive 459 022 is standing about.
