Re
The most important attaction of Re is the Madonna del Sangue (Bleeding Madonna) basilica. The village became a pilgrimage site after a miracle in 1494. In that year, a boy threw a stone at the picture of the Breastfeeding Madonna. On the next day, blood began to flow from the injury of the fresco, and continued flowing 20 days long, with varying intensity. A few drops from this blood have been preserved in an ampoule inside the old church. This church - built in the early 17th century - seems to be a swallow nest glued to the side of the huge basilica, although latter was built much later, between 1922 and 1958.

Domodossola
The Centovalli Railway ends in a short tunnel under Domodossola station, 267 m above sea level. The underground station was built in 1961, a stairway and an elevator lead to the 12 tracks of the standard gauge station.
